Firstly select the crystals yo want to use and make sure they are suitable for making a water elixir. Be aware that certain crystals can be lightly toxic (for instance Malachite).
Most quartz crystals, like Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine, Rose Quartz and Smokey Quartz can be used.
Clear Calcite is also a great water purifier.
Turquoise, Chrysocolla, Azurite and Malachite can only be used by the indirect method where the crystal is placed next to the glass and is not submerged in the water.
Use spring water, filtered water or tap water and place the clean crystals in or next to a glass. Fill the glass with water and place it in sun- or daylight for 12 hours or more.
Remember you can keep using the crystals and REFILLING the glass for 3 days.
After 3 days it's good to cleanse both the crystals and the glass.
To maintain the crystals energy levels, it is good for them to have a break and recharge them.
Do this by putting them in the light of the full moon or the sun, or place them onto the earth before using them again.
The light of Himalayan Salt Lamps is an alternative way of charging crystals if none of the above is available.
To gain a better understanding of how water absorbs energy, the late Japanese professor Dr Masaru Emoto's wrote some great books on how receptive water is to energy.
We recommend starting with ‘The Hidden Messages in Water’ or ‘Messages from Water & The Universe’.
We can't get away from Amethyst and as common as it may be it is an incredibly versatile and powerful healing crystal.
Not to forget too is that Amethyst started out as Clear Quartz but through the absorption of Iron during it's formation it turned purple.
Geodes are formed within an air pocket or gas bubble but not all Amethyst do form as geodes.
Artma Spiritual Gallery was lucky enough to acquire a tall Amethyst geode from Brazil a couple of years ago. We named her Philomena which means 'Loved One' and she indeed is loved by many visitors to our store. Naturally there are always 'bigger ones', but as with many things in life it is not about the size but about the energy that comes through it!
:-) :-) :-) Sounds familiar doesn't it :-) :-) :-)
